Baykocabey Mausoleum

There are countless heroes directing our national history. Each of these heroes is unique personality that left deep scars on all the textures of the period he lived in and on every surface of the homeland. One of the personalities that left a mark on history, the brother of Osman Gazi, the founder of the Ottoman Cihan State, was Mr Koca, the son of Savcı Bey. The Ottoman forces bravely fought against the Greeks who had prepared an ambush for them and defeated them and triumphed. In this war, (1284) Mr. Koca, the son of Savcı Bey and his nephew, Osman Bey, was martyred. (1267-1284) Mr. Hodja is considered the first martyr of the Ottoman dynasty in this respect. His grave is next to the Mehmed Bey Mosque in Hamzabey Neighborhood.
