It is the first city museum that is opened in a district of Turkey by İnegöl Municipality on 10th January 2009 thanks to donation of apparels, objects, materials, documents and photos from the people of the district.
Historical building of the former municipality which was built in last quarter of 19th century was dedicated to the museum after the restoration. The historical periods of İnegöl dating back to 15 million years have been chronologically presented in the museum.
The examples of professions sinking into oblivion and fossil remains extracted from various parts of İnegöl are introduced on the right and left side of the yard of three- storey building. The chronology of İnegöl’s cultural tissue ranging from archeological remains to ethnographic pieces is displayed on the upper floors.
