Historical roots of woodworking and furniture business in İnegöl date back to the distant past. It showed a significant development during the Republic Period due to its geographical position. Forest product industry has developed until 1980’s thanks to the surrounding forests of İnegöl.
Organized Industrial Site of İnegöl which was established in 1977 is ranked among the first industrial sites of Turkey. Furthermore, the first Furniture Specialized Organized Industrial Site of Turkey is located in İnegöl.
İnegöl covers 1% of total export, 15% furniture export of Turkey and 50% of national demand of furniture. In İnegöl where about 2000 small and large companies carry on business, İnegöl furniture has a rising trend in manufacturing, marketing, foreign trade and fair organization addressing to domestic and foreign market with its strong companies.
