Ebussud Efendi who was shaykh al-islam during the reign of Suleyman the Magnificent gave lectures in İshak Pasha Madrasah which was among the most important madrasah buildings of the Ottoman period. As it is understood from the last line of inscription plate over teaching room gate, it was built during Bayezid II period in 887 (Hijri Calendar), A.D. 1482/1483.
The madrasah consisting of ”U-shaped” plan open court has square shaped teaching room in the middle and 12 cells that are connected to teaching room from east and west side.
