It is natural spring water that flows during spring months in Fevziye Neighborhood. The arrival of stork is a sign of spring. Rumor has it that when storks pass over this spring water rush out of the source and begins to flow. For this reason the villagers call the fount as “Leylek (Stork) Water”.
Leylek Water finds waterway flowing through various channels after snow melts on the slopes of Uludağ and reaches to the point where streams are located in Fevziye Neighborhood. The water begins to flow at the end of March and flow time changes according to the air temperature. Leylek water has four different sources; one of each has more than one eye. The point where spring water first emerges is called by the villagers as “among the nuts”. The water emerges from this point until it dries up. Stream bed becomes green due to the flow of this water on the stones and forming green algae on the stones, thus it offers visual feast virtually.
