According to the information in the 9th-generation piece of the mosque, which is currently exhibited in the Inegol City Museum, it was built by one of Ottoman statesmen Dervish Pasha for his deceased son Mehmet Bey in Hijri 1130, A.D. 1718. The mosque was repaired in various periods and lost its unique characteristics in progress of time. It was finally renovated in 2013 and reopened for worship.
