About

The mausoleum is located at 15 kilometers southwest of İnegöl and within the cemetery area on the northern slope of the neighborhood. The establishment of this village, which is named Turgut Alp, the arms friend of the founder of the Ottoman State, Osman Bey, dates back to the establishment of the Ottoman state. Turgut Alp is the person who conquered İnegöl in 1299 and spent the last days of his life in İnegöl. Upon his death, he was buried in Turgut Alp village. In this neighborhood where the name Genci was also used for a while, the people of the village organize grandfather pilaf charity and commemorative ceremonies every year to remember Turgut Alp.
