Located about 5 km from İnegöl, Ortaköy Caravanserai was built on the land enfeoffed by the sultan to “Karacabey” who was one of the honorable statesmen during the reign of Murad II and Mehmed the Conqueror.
Caravanserai is located on west part of the street along the roadway that connects Bursa to Kütahya and Central Anatolia. It has 3 naves and reflects the conversion among Ottoman Caravansaries with Seljukian style and single-floor plan. The structure was built of pitch-faced stone and face stone. The door of the structure faces to south and has square plan in the direction of north-south. Lancet arches connecting the piers settle on wall piers in the south. Entrance door has flat arch.
Rolling back the years, this architectural work has been serving as a cultural asset after the restoration that was completed in 2008.
